If you’ve been on www.mobilebroadband4G.com or any other site out there, there’s a good chance you’ve probably seen an ad for a car or two. Heck, some auto industries even have their own facebook pages so the question you might be asking yourself is why? Why do these industries have their own facebook pages? Why are industries attempting to reach out to me in this fashion?

It all has to do with relevance. For years people have bought cars the only way they know how: meeting people and dealers face-to-face, shopping, haggling and eventually purchasing. However, some automakers are trying to change that. While not as prevalent as purchasing books or toys online, some industries are trying to make cars attainable with a few clicks of the mouse. Unfortunately there’s never been any precedent for this and the endeavor lacks relevance.

People don’t take it seriously or see it as a viable option. However, with some dealerships establishing a presence on social media, the world is finally getting to know them and the way is being opened to a new generation of consumers. And as we continue to do most of our shopping online and less in person we may one day see something as complex as a car purchase become as casual as ordering a pizza with a smartphone app.
